Service to the Profession

In 2021 and 2022, I have served as Treasurer of the j-ISBA, the junior section of the International Society of Bayesian Analysis ( ISBA). As an officer of the section, I have been contributing towards building more opportunities for early-career researchers, for example, designing the Blackwell-Rosenbluth award, or organizing dedicated sessions at scientific events.

I also been involved in the organizing and scientific committees of conferences of the Bayesian community such as ISBA2021, BaYSM2021, and BayesComp2023.

From June 2021, I became Associate Editor of The New England Journal of Statistics in Data Science (Software section).

Teaching & Mentoring

Becoming a teacher is one of the things that motivated me to pursue an academic career. During my time at University of Padova, I worked as a Tutor for the Department of Statistical Sciences, helping bachelor and master students with courses such as Introduction to real analysis and Advanced statistical inference.

As a Tutor, I also spent some time mentoring undergrads, volunteering at orientation days as well as at outreach research events. I continued this activity during my time at UC Berkeley, where I participated in the first edition of the Research mentorship program of the Statistics department.
